Consulting, Design & Method
Oasis offers free consultation for dewatering in tendering projects of various natures. Oasis' team of geotechnical engineers study the geology of the job site and the depth of the excavations to determine the most technically suitable method of dewatering for the prevailing ground conditions. Technical assessment involves the use of flow nets and other geotechnical calculations to determine the estimated ground water flow into the site at different depths of excavation.
Dewatering Techniques
Successful lowering of ground water to the required depth requires selection of the accurate technical solution. The most commonly used technique is well point dewatering that involves installation of well points into the ground and drawing the ground water to the collector pipe for removal by vacuum assisted self-priming pumps. Bore well dewatering installs bored wells of sizes between 200–500 mm around the site, with water drawn by submersible pumps. Other techniques include the use of sumps and drains.
Production & Testing
All our castings are sourced from our foundry after which they are machined at one of our machine shops. Our sub-assembly sections put together various parts of the pump which are passed onto our main assembly line where they are assembled into the final product along with the engine — all under continuous tight quality control as required by ISO 9001:2015.
